Job summary

Terran Orbital is seeking an Sr. Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical (EEE) Components/PM&P Engineer to assure affordable, high‑performance satellite systems.

You will guide design engineers in parts selections, review contract requirements, and lead failure analyses with cross‑functional teams to mitigate reliability risks. You will coordinate with suppliers, customers, and program managers to ensure compliant PM&P processes and maintain a robust Counterfeit Parts Prevention Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; Alternatively: a Bachelor’s degree in another technical discipline with substantial hands‑on experience working with EEE components for space hardware
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally in aerospace
• Experience in EEE parts engineering, including reliability, utilization, obsolescence, and parts libraries
• Knowledge of MIL/NASA/ISO/ECSS/IPC standards
• Ability to analyze designs, materials, processes, systems, and manufacturing for reliability
• Experience performing part/material/process failure analyses and corrective actions
• Leading cross‑functional RCCA investigations
• Counterfeit parts management and inspection techniques

Responsibilities

• Guide design engineers on parts selection based on reliability, availability, and manufacturability
• Review EEE and PM&P contract requirements and identify gaps or risks
• Evaluate EEE parts for performance, reliability, safety, and value in designs
• Interface with customers for parts, materials, and process requirements
• Coordinate with supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing for reliability risk mitigation
• Use reliability analyses and tools to assess PM&P risks and simulate PCBA stresses
• Lead root-cause analyses and propose corrective actions
• Develop and track failure-related metrics
• Participate in failure review boards and engineering reviews
• Ensure EEE/PM&P requirements flowed down to suppliers
