Job summary

FMI – The Food Industry Association in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Manager, Education to design, market, and execute innovative education programs in collaboration with planning committees and subject matter experts.

You will lead end-to-end event planning, manage budgets, recruit sponsors, and evaluate programs to drive attendance and impact. A college degree and 5–7 years of experience are required; on-site work is expected at our Arlington office with a transportation allowance.

Qualifications

5–7 years of education program development and implementation experience, with committee management.
Bachelor's degree in business, education, or related field.
Knowledge of the food/retail industry is preferred.
Ability to lead volunteer committees and manage budgets and contracts.

Responsibilities

Develop program design, budget, marketing, and implementation with partner organizations.
Identify industry trends and translate into educational programs.
Lead end-to-end event planning and execution, including goals, budget, timeline, and metrics.
Recruit and manage planning committees, select speakers, and design agendas.
Negotiate contracts and identify sponsors; stay current with event/edtech trends.
Conduct post-program evaluations to drive improvements.
