Job summary

Cambium Learning Group seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to guide delivery and evolution of content authoring platforms. You will bridge product goals with engineering realities, shaping requirements and roadmaps while coordinating with vendors and state partners.

The role emphasizes data literacy, interoperability, and AI-related work, requiring strong leadership of technical discussions, production triage, and secure data pipelines across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technology-focused discipline.
• 7+ years of technical project management experience (or 5+ years with a Master's).
• 5+ years directly managing software engineers or leading technical system design.
• 2+ years in data analysis, product support, or technical coordination roles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and secure data-sharing frameworks.
• Proficient in writing relational SQL Server scripts from scratch to analyze datasets.
• Solid understanding of backend application architecture and automated data flows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the system roadmap with Technical Directors and engineering leads.
• Guide technical design discussions and clarify API boundaries.
• Translate business goals into detailed technical specifications and API definitions.
• Identify and mitigate technical roadblocks and drive key technology choices.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for external partners and vendors.
• Oversee data interoperability and secure cross-platform data pipelines.
