You will partner with Art Direction, Design, Marketing, and Studio Production to ensure flawless retouching, consistent brand storytelling, and efficient production workflows under tight deadlines. This role combines technical mastery with creative judgment to shape premium imagery.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in high-end digital retouching for fashion/editorial spaces.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to major editorial campaigns and brand imagery.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and advanced retouching techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end retouching for editorial campaigns, catalog imagery, marketing assets, and brand content.

Position Overview

The Senior Editorial Retoucher is a key contributor responsible for defining and executing the highest quality retouching standards for all high-impact editorial campaigns, catalog imagery- including both print and e-commerce, marketing assets, and brand-facing visual content across Tuckernuck's digital platforms. This role requires mastery in advanced retouching techniques, refined creative judgment, and a strategic understanding of how imagery supports overarching brand storytelling and visual presentation. The Senior Editorial Retoucher serves as the expert collaborator with Art Direction, Design, Marketing, Studio Production, and the Post-Production Team, ensuring visual alignment with campaign direction and the seamless delivery of assets according to rigorous production timelines. In addition to executing the most complex, high-end retouching work, this role supports the optimization of editorial post-production workflows, including setting best practices for asset organization, project coordination, and technical collaboration across teams. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, proactive responsiveness to creative feedback, and the proven ability to manage complex, multi-deliverable projects within aggressive campaign timelines.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of high-end, complex retouching for editorial campaigns, critical catalog imagery, marketing assets, and brand-facing visual content.
  • Apply mastery-level image retouching techniques including advanced color correction, sophisticated compositing, background cleanup, high-end skin retouching, and final file preparation for premium campaign and marketing use.
  • Define and enforce visual standards to ensure retouched imagery achieves campaign art direction and maintains absolute consistency across all editorial content and brand storytelling.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across production and collaboration platforms including Global Edit, Figma, and Monday.com to optimize asset organization, project tracking, and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain protocols for preparing and organizing digital assets to support efficient, scalable handoff between editorial, design, and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Direction, Design, Marketing, Studio Production, and the Digital Assets Team, providing technical expertise throughout campaign production cycles.
  • Conduct final-stage quality assurance and review of all retouched editorial imagery prior to publishing to ensure technical accuracy and visual consistency.
  • Mentor and guide junior editorial retouchers on best practices, high-end techniques, and adherence to established brand standards.
  • Proactively manage and prioritize multiple high-stakes campaign deliverables simultaneously while maintaining impeccable standards of quality and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience in high-end digital retouching, photography post-production, or related visual production environments, specifically within the fashion or lifestyle editorial space.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to major editorial campaigns, high-impact marketing assets, or brand storytelling imagery.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and advanced professional retouching techniques.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Figma
  • Strong understanding of digital best practices, file preparation, and asset management & optimization
  • Exceptional visual judgment and refined creative sensibility necessary to interpret and elevate editorial storytelling and campaign aesthetics.
  • Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in managing enterprise-level digital assets and production workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of working with external hard drives and cloud-based asset management systems, including file aggregators such as Dropbox.
  • Exceptional communication skills, proven responsiveness to high-level creative feedback and revisions, and the ability to maintain consistency and quality within fast-paced, high-pressure campaign production timelines.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines.

Compensation

Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is $75,000-$90,000; classified as full-time exempt and not eligible for overtime.
