GiveWell is hiring a Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production in San Francisco. You will lead editorial quality and production of GiveWell’s communications, shaping standards and systems while growing a small team.

The role reports to the VP of Communications and collaborates across the organization to ensure accurate, timely, and impactful content. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in editorial and content production, strong leadership, and a track record of building scalable

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading editorial and content-production work
• Experience shaping editorial standards across multiple formats
• Ability to lead a small team and build scalable production systems
• Strong judgment and precise communication in high-stakes environments

Responsabilités

• Own editorial quality and production of GiveWell’s communications to ensure clarity, rigor, timeliness.
• Build and manage workflows, standards, review processes, and production systems for scalable content creation.
• Lead planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for owned-content portfolios.
• Uphold GiveWell’s voice and editorial standards across all published materials.
• Develop recurring communications and reporting products from priorities to content.
• Personally create or shape high-priority content and editorial direction.
• Oversee website content operations and publishing processes.
• Partner with teams to determine formats, production approaches, and timelines.
• Oversee design, visual, and multimedia asset production and contractor management.
• Manage and develop the initial team and plan for growth.
