Job summary

GiveWell is hiring a Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production to lead the editorial quality and production of its communications. You will set the editorial bar, build the people and systems needed to produce excellent work consistently and at increasing scale, and personally shape some of our most complex content.

Reporting to the VP of Communications, you will grow a small team, establish workflows and standards, and partner with researchers and designers to ensure accuracy,

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading editorial and content-production work.
• Experience building systems to produce high-quality content at scale.
• Ability to manage writers/editors and strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the editorial quality and production of GiveWell’s communications.
• Build workflows, standards, review processes, and production systems.
• Lead planning, prioritization, and resource allocation for owned-content portfolio.
• Uphold GiveWell’s voice and editorial standards.
• Develop recurring communications and reporting products.
• Personally shape the most complex, high-priority content.
• Oversee website content operations.
• Partner with teams to define formats, timelines.
• Oversee design, multimedia assets production.
• Develop and grow the team over time.
