Stripe is seeking a senior editorial leader to guide original stories and insights for external media partnerships. You will shape editorial direction, partner with publishers, and translate data and customer narratives into compelling content across formats.

This role reports to Stripe’s Narrative & Editorial leader and emphasizes strategic storytelling and high-quality execution. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams to ensure editorial excellence while

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in editorial, writing, creative development, journalism, publishing, media, brand strategy, or a closely related field.
• Strong portfolio of published or public-facing work demonstrating writing and editing, original thinking, and audience resonance.
• You are very online and can spot emerging arguments, voices, and formats early and engage authentically.

Responsibilities

• Lead editorial direction for Stripe’s external media partnerships, including advertising content and research-led collaborations.
• Develop work that feels native to the audience and editorial environment.
• Turn Stripe’s data analyses, economic insights, and customer stories into clear, surprising content readers won’t skip.
• Shape the full editorial process for partnership work from briefs to drafts and final deliverables.
• Direct and manage agencies, external creators, and editorial partners within existing structures and agreements.
• Write, edit, and materially improve high-stakes content across formats (blogs, newsletters, podcasts, ads, social).
• Generate original concepts for editorial programs and nontraditional formats to broaden Stripe’s conversations.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to teams across Stripe to clarify ideas and improve creative decisions.
• Partner with Brand Marketing, Copywriting, and Customer Marketing to make storytelling coherent and distinctive.
• Define and uphold a clear quality bar for editorial and partnership work.
