Savvas Learning Company seeks a Senior Editor to develop culturally informed K-12 curriculum materials. You will apply editorial expertise, align content with state standards, and collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality materials.

The role emphasizes editing, project management, and strong communication, ensuring content meets objectives, budget, and deadlines in a fast-paced publishing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in curriculum development or instructional materials for social studies, with K-5 experience preferred.
• Teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledgeable in educational methodologies and instructional design for social studies and related ELA/early literacy.

Responsibilities

• Contribute ideas during project planning and guide editorial direction.
• Research, write, and edit manuscripts; review all page stages of product.
• Match state objectives to content in the core program; ensure on-time delivery.
