UN Women seeks a senior technical editor to refine the Gender Analysis of Regional Counter-Terrorism Frameworks in Africa. The consultant will ensure analytical coherence, clear structure, and high publication standards while maintaining accurate references to international law and UN resolutions.

The role is a home-based consultancy requiring fluency in English, a Master’s degree in a relevant field, and at least five years of progressive experience in gender, WPS, and human rights.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in human rights, gender studies, development, political studies, peace and security studies, international law, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in gender, women, peace and security, and human rights issues.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical editing of UN Women’s Gender Analysis study to ensure coherence, structure and publication quality.
• Edit, review and reorganize content to align with study objectives and recommendations.
• Ensure accuracy of references to international law, UN resolutions and related sources.
• Improve flow and readability, including tables, figures and charts, per UN Women editorial standards.
