Job summary

UN Women is seeking a Communications Analyst to support planning and implementation of external communication and advocacy strategies, with a focus on EU4GE EVAW and WEE in the Western Balkans. The role involves analysis, coordination with programme teams, and media outreach.

The analyst will draft briefing materials, coordinate publications, maintain media lists, organize events, and contribute to the RO web presence, ensuring gender perspectives and alignment with HQ policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism or related field is required.
• Experience in public relations, communications or advocacy is required.
• Experience with social media and web-based management systems is required.
• International experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive support to planning and design of external communication and outreach/advocacy strategies, ensuring gender perspective.
• Coordinate development and dissemination of advocacy materials for EU4GE EVAW and WEE in the Western Balkans programme.
• Contribute to media relations by establishing relationships, maintaining media lists, and organizing press events.
• Maintain visibility for donors through outreach to civil society, governments and partners.
• Coordinate editorial work and RO web presence for the Western Balkans programme and RO social media.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through best practices and training.
