Job summary

UN Women is seeking a Communications Analyst to support planning and implementation of external communication and advocacy strategies. The role involves coordinating media relations, drafting materials, and ensuring gender perspectives across campaigns in the Western Balkans region.

Responsibilities include monitoring media, supporting events, coordinating editorial content, and building partnerships with civil society and governments to raise visibility and donor engagement.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of professional work experience in public relations, communications or advocacy is required.
• Experience in the use of social media is required.
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems is required.
• Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System, preferably Oracle Cloud, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and design of external communication and outreach/advocacy strategies.
• Provide analysis for elaboration of communication strategies, ensure gender perspective.
• Integrate strategies into proposals for projects and initiatives as necessary.
• Monitor media and provide analysis to RO/HQ; assist in events and campaigns.
• Draft briefing materials, press releases and coordinate dissemination.
• Coordinate translation/adaptation of information and dissemination of materials.
