Based in a hybrid New York location, the role requires PhD-level expertise, strong editorial judgment, and collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders to advance journal impact and integrity.

Qualifications

• PhD level education in biomedical field is required or equivalent.
• Strong time management and prioritization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle original research manuscripts with rigorous scientific evaluation and manage peer review.
• Deliver high-quality editorial services in line with journal standards and timelines.
• Oversee publishing workflows and systems for efficient manuscript processing.
• Collaborate with authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure a transparent review process.
• Represent the journal in the scientific community and understand emerging trends.
• Contribute to editorial policies and publishing processes to uphold integrity.
• Guide stakeholders through the peer review process with clear communication.
• Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to align on priorities.
• Partner with the Chief Editor to execute journal development and growth strategies.
• Attract high-quality submissions and commission reviews and special collections.
• Promote journal visibility and publish compelling scientific content.
