Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Technician to support the legal organization of a large Federal agency. Responsibilities include logging productions, reviewing cover letters, validating load readiness, and coordinating virus scans and file transfers. The role requires a U.S.

citizen status and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Candidate will handle diverse document types, apply processing protocols, monitor submissions via email and FTP, and

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional directly relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver the highest quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks as defined in Duties & Responsibilities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest the cover letter and provide a brief description of the production.
• Call producer for a password if encrypted.
• Determine if the cover letter qualifies for loading into Relativity.
• Virus scan the production off-network and address issues.
• Copy clean production to the Agency's network.
• Handle documents according to protocols (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, etc.).
• Analyze productions to determine processing and protocol.
• Ensure data completeness and “load ready” status; communicate issues when needed.
• Monitor for incoming productions via email and FTP.
• Scan and OCR paper documents for Relativity loading.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions.
