Job summary

Trener Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Compute Engineer to own the compute software stack for edge robotics. You will optimize software to extract maximum performance from heterogeneous hardware and collaborate with partners and internal teams on deployment and real-time control.

You will work across CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, and FPGAs, deploying neural nets and vision models to edge devices while setting standards for quality, testing, and scalable delivery from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience with state-of-the-art algorithms used in autonomous systems.
• Experience deploying complex algorithms to embedded and edge devices.
• Deep understanding of hardware execution models to maximize compute.
• Experience accelerating workloads on CPUs, GPUs or FPGAs.
• Familiarity with Quartus and Vitis.
• Proficiency in production-grade C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design software systems spanning services to run Physical AI on heterogeneous architectures.
• Build and test pipelines for deploying neural nets and LLMs to edge devices.
• Deploy real-time robotics algorithms with ML workloads on edge hardware.
• Set code quality standards and test strategies that work on the floor.
• Coordinate handoffs across firmware, software, and deployment teams.
• Break large initiatives into small, shippable increments and manage risks.
