Job summary

Huntsman is seeking a Senior Ecotoxicologist to support the Global EHS Division. Remote work is an option; occasional travel up to 20% is expected. The role provides expert ecotoxicology guidance across R&D, product development, and regulatory submissions.

The candidate will manage environmental fate and ecotoxicology data, lead dossier submissions (IUCLID/others), and collaborate with regulatory bodies worldwide while minimizing animal testing without compromising safety.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master/PhD) with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably international.
• Extensive regulatory ecotoxicology, risk assessment, and defense of self-classification and labeling (GHS, CLP).
• Experience with EU REACH, TSCA and Canada chemical registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ecotoxicology and environmental hazard/risk assessment support across product development.
• Oversee study monitoring and selection of laboratory partners per internal/external guidelines.
• Lead dossier submissions using IUCLID or similar formats and apply read-across approaches.
• Act as technical lead for ecotoxicology issue management and regulatory advocacy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
