Job summary

Huntsman in Freeport, Texas seeks a Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) to lead site programs and compliance, reporting to the Americas EHS Regional Manager. You will drive safety, environmental stewardship, and emergency response across the site.

With a background in PSM/RMP facilities and a track record leading EHS teams, you will partner with operations and corporate teams to achieve Zero Harm and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, industrial hygiene, or related field.
• 7+ years of EHS experience; or 10+ years in a chemical manufacturing environment with the specified degree.
• Experience with PSM/RMP regulatory facilities.
• Experience leading EHS personnel and programs in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Huntsman is seeking a Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) supporting the Performance Products Division located in Freeport, Texas. This position reports to the Americas EHS Regional Manager.

Job Scope

The Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) serves as a key member of the Site Leadership Team and is responsible for leading the site's environmental, health, safety, occupational health, emergency response, security, and risk management programs. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations and corporate standards while fostering a culture of safety, operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement. The position partners closely with operational leaders, corporate Centers of Excellence, regulatory agencies, emergency response organizations, and community stakeholders to support Huntsman's commitment to Zero Harm.

In summary, as the Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), you will:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for site environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Serve as the primary advisor to site leadership on environmental compliance, occupational health, safety, and risk management matters.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements, including PSM/RMP-regulated operations.
• Lead occupational health, industrial hygiene, emergency response, security, and business continuity initiatives.
• Coordinate relationships with regulatory agencies, emergency response organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Drive hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies across manufacturing operations.
• Lead, develop, and manage the site EHS team while fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
• Manage EHS operating, staffing, and capital budgets and support site business objectives.
• Partner with operational leaders and corporate teams to strengthen EHS performance and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience; or 10+ years of EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing environment in lieu of the stated degree and experience combination.
• Experience maintaining compliance within PSM/RMP-regulated facilities.
• Experience leading environmental, occupational health, industrial hygiene, and safety personnel and programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations applicable to chemical manufacturing facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and internet-based business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification in an environmental, health, or safety discipline such as CSP, CIH, REM, or equivalent.
• Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, or another highly regulated, high-hazard manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with local emergency response organizations, including fire departments and HazMat teams.
• Experience serving as a strategic EHS advisor to site leadership.
• Experience managing EHS operating and capital budgets.
