Job summary

The Clark County Office of Community & Economic Development seeks a Senior Economic Development Specialist to manage, coordinate, plan, promote, and market redevelopment programs within unincorporated Clark County. The role acts as a client-focused ambassador to local, national and international business communities and coordinates with elected officials and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate, Land Planning/Development or closely related field and four years of professional experience in economic development or related areas.
• Two years of program, project and/or contract management required; public agency experience desirable.
• Advanced degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis up to two years.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate federal, state and NGO grant opportunities for program funding.
• Negotiate and administer incentive programs and oversee related budgets.
• Prepare meeting agendas with supporting backup materials for county boards.
• Lead selection processes, RFPs or contract negotiations as appropriate.
• Research demographic and economic data, prepare reports and analyze ROI of programs.
