Job summary

The City of Henderson seeks a Manager of Redevelopment, Economic Development and Tourism to lead planning and management of redevelopment and communications initiatives. The role oversees budgeting, grants, contracts, and analytics to advance city visibility and engagement.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in economic development or planning; AICP/EDFP certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Planning, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Five (5) years of experience managing projects and/or programs in the field of economic development, redevelopment, and/or community development/planning.
Desirable: AICP Certification.
Desirable: EDFP Certification.
Desirable: Knowledge of Tax Increment Financing.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing and managing the activities and operations of the Communications Department.
Manage budgeting, personnel, fiscal control, accounting, purchasing, grant preparation, analysis and compliance, contract administration, and computer operations.
Oversee related duties and support City communications and engagement.
