Job summary

City of Raleigh is seeking an Economic Development Senior Analyst for the Small Business Development Division. You will lead outreach, manage grant contracts, and coordinate workforce development resources to support 20,000+ small businesses across Raleigh.

We seek an engaging, strategic professional with strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to elevate SBD operations and partnerships throughout the city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in finance, business, economics, grant management, or related field.
• Equivalent training/experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with small business programs and workforce development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead grant programs intake, vetting, program management, and inspections.
• Support grant invoicing and program administration with City offices.
• Develop process documents to enable cross-training and improvement.
• Collaborate with entrepreneurial ecosystems and workforce partners.
• Coordinate SBD events and outreach activities, including after-hours engagement.
• Prepare program reports and the Small Business Resource Guide.
• Travel across the city for outreach initiatives and events.
