Job summary

Charles River Associates seeks a Senior Associate to work with senior consultants on project teams. You will conduct research, design economic models, supervise junior analysts, and help develop client deliverables including expert reports.

You will program in Stata, Python, R, or Matlab, ensure accuracy of analyses, and collaborate with attorneys and regulators. A PhD with strong quantitative skills and interest in consulting is highly valued.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics with a quantitative focus and expected completion by Dec 2026 / Summer 2027.
• Strong research, modeling, and statistical analysis abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership potential.
• Interest in consulting and ability to explain economic concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in a team-based environment with academics, industry experts, and regulators.
• Design economic models to analyze data and manage the research process.
• Supervise and mentor junior analysts on project teams.
• Develop client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers.
• Program and run analyses in Stata, Python, R, SQL or SAS; ensure accuracy of outputs.
