Job summary

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking candidates for roles in quantitative research, economics, and financial analysis across multiple practice areas in the United States. The position involves collaborating with PhD economists, CFA/CPA professionals, and valuation experts to conduct research and build analytical models.

You will perform analysis using Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL, or SAS, review literature, and help prepare expert reports and visuals for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree candidates graduating December 2026/Summer 2027 in a quantitative field.
• Completion of an honors thesis, research apprenticeship, or research seminar program is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated understanding of economic/financial concepts and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
• Experience in Excel, Stata, Python, R, SQL, SAS, ArcGIS/ArcPy, or Cloud computing.
• Curious and analytical thinkers with creative problem-solving.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and programming languages.
• Demonstrated initiative and leadership.
• Attention to detail and quality in work.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with economists and professionals to conduct economic and industry research.
• Analyze client materials to understand case issues and develop models.
• Perform financial and economic analyses or valuation models to support theories.
• Program models and run regressions using Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL, or SAS.
• Work with client data and financial statements to support analyses.
• Review reports and literature; summarize key findings.
• Assist in producing research summaries, expert reports, and visuals.
• Ensure reliability of analyses via quality control.
