Job summary

FloridaCommerce seeks an Economic Consultant to perform advanced economic research and deliver data-driven insights for statewide policy decisions. You will lead quantitative projects, apply econometric techniques, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a strong foundation in economics, statistics, and data analysis tools, with responsibilities spanning project design, data synthesis, and clear written reports.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of economic theory, statistics, data collection principles and research design.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data using statistics and analytical software.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced economic research and analysis under limited supervision.
• Design and manage major quantitative and qualitative projects from inception to publication.
• Produce high-quality written analyses, reports and visualizations.
• Deliver compelling presentations of findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with diverse teams and external customers on data requests.
