Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Sr. Echocardiographer to perform echocardiography procedures under the Medical Director and Cardiac Testing leadership. You will ensure ICAEL quality assurance, manage ECG-related duties, and assist with departmental operations in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires registration as a Diagnostic or Cardiac Sonographer and a BLS certification, with responsibilities including equipment upkeep and accurate result reporting in collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography procedures under Medical Director and Team Leader of Cardiac Testing.
• Performs clerical duties related to ICAEL quality assurance and departmental maintenance.
• Maintains ECG equipment and supplies; documents ECG readings as directed.
• Monitors patient during procedures and reports abnormal findings; notes and forwards results to attending physician.
