Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist seeks an experienced Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, and Doppler studies under the supervision of the non-invasive cardiology team. The role requires precise imaging, adherence to safety standards, and on-call availability.

Applicants should have an associate degree echo program or accredited training, current BLS, and ARDMS/CCI credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
• High School Diploma and/or GED

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize STAT and routine orders.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department Quality Assurance through accurate data collection.
• Feels comfortable working independently and with a team, following supervisors and physicians.
• Resolves conflicts and uses chain of command to drive outcomes.
