Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health in Pasadena is seeking a Senior Echocardiographic Technician to perform 2D, M-mode, and Doppler studies, including stress and pharmacological stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms. You will prepare and maintain records and preliminary reports under supervision of Cardiac Imaging leadership.

The role requires at least three years of direct cardiac sonographer experience and ARDMS registration in AE RDCS or PE RDCS, with a BLS

Qualifications

• At least three years of direct cardiac sonographer experience.
• Registered through ARDMS in AE RDCS or PE RDCS.
• BLS certificate.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow physician orders/policies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation and reports of echo studies.
• Maintain logs and records for echo studies.
• Ability to operate echo equipment and adjust settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiography studies including stress and pharmacological stress echocardiograms and TEE.
• Notify Cardiac Imaging Physicians for urgent, STAT and pre-operative readings.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation and written preliminary reports.
• Prepare and maintain records for echo studies and billing-related documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by UCLA Cardiac Imaging Physicians, Manager and Supervisor.
