Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Echo/Vascular Sonographer to perform a range of echo and vascular imaging procedures with moderate to high complexity in inpatient, outpatient, hospital or clinic settings.

The role requires strong teamwork, independent clinical judgment, and flexibility to support patient care, transportation, registration, and clerical tasks as needed. A patient-focused approach ensures safety and high-quality service across patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined echo and vascular experience; HM Echo or Vascular Sonographer with two years experience may be considered
• Must have BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) and one of ARDMS-RVT, CCI-RVS, or ARRT-VS
• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below

Responsibilities

• Performs echo and vascular sonographic procedures as required by department needs.
• Provides direct assistance to physicians during procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• May perform ancillary duties such as transporting, admissions, registration, receptionist duties, physician contact, charting, documentation, patient monitoring and vital signs.
