Job summary

ACARA Solutions is seeking a Senior ECAD Layout Specialist for a 100% remote contract-to-hire role. You will design and document PCB layouts for high-speed digital and RF signals, using Xpedition VX2.13 or higher and multi-layer boards up to 28 layers.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of PCB design experience with DDR4/DDR5, Versal devices, MIL/Space high-reliability programs, and ability to work in an IPT environment. Active Secret clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years in PCB design for DSP and hi-frequency RF.
• 8+ years with DDR4/DDR5 and high-speed signals.
• 8+ years using Xpedition VX2.13 or higher.
• 8+ years multi-layer designs up to 28 layers.
• Experience in IPT environments and MIL/Space high reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and document PCB layouts for PCBs used in DSP and RF systems.
• Apply knowledge of hi-speed routing and interference control.
• Collaborate in an Integrated Product Team environment.
• Produce PCB layout drawings and packaging for high-reliability assemblies.
• Troubleshoot design data with external vendors.
