Job summary

Prime Hiring Solutions is seeking a PCB Design Engineer in Austin, TX to drive the layout and verification of high-quality PCBs for our electronic products. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Cadence Allegro and comfortable guiding the full design flow from schematic review to manufacturing release.

Responsibilities include high-speed routing, DDR4/DDR5, PCIe interfaces, Gerber generation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Cadence Allegro 17.2/17.4 (required).
  • Hands-on PCB layout design from schematics to Gerber release.
  • Good understanding of PCB stack-up, power planes, routing and constraints.
  • Experience with high-speed PCB design and manufacturing standards.
  • RF PCB design knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro 17.2/17.4.
  • Create and maintain PCB libraries, design rules and constraints.
  • Work on digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF PCB designs.
  • Perform component placement, routing, power plane design, and layer stack-up creation.
  • Route high-speed signals with proper length matching and impedance control.
  • Support interfaces such as DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet, PMIC.
  • Generate Gerber files and manufacturing documentation for PCB fabrication.
  • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product development.
  • Review designs, troubleshoot layout issues, and mentor junior engineers.
