Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Logistics and Supply Chain Lead to manage and optimize regional operations in the Eastern Cape, primarily Queenstown. You will oversee inbound/outbound logistics, warehousing, inventory, and transport planning, driving efficiency and cost reductions while delivering on regional targets.

The role requires a strong hands-on leader with 7+ years in regional logistics, deep knowledge of WMS/TMS/ERP, and proven ability to implement improvements and mentor a regional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management with regional focus.
• Experience managing warehouse operations, transportation, and inventory control, ideally in Eastern Cape.
• Proven ability to develop and implement operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems; excellent analytical and vendor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all logistics and supply chain functions for the Eastern Cape region, based out of Queenstown.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize transport, warehousing, and inventory.
• Oversee regional distribution centers, ensure safety and efficiency targets.
• Manage relationships with carriers and 3PLs; negotiate SLAs.
• Implement inventory controls to reduce discrepancies and optimize stock rotation.
• Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with national teams, sales, and operations for alignment with business goals.
• Manage regional supply chain budget and identify cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with transport, warehousing, and safety regulations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to regional team.
