Job summary

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to lead reliability, safety and performance of electrical, control and instrumentation systems at a UK site. You will drive maintenance strategies, support capital projects and ensure regulatory compliance with SH&E requirements.

In a high-hazard manufacturing environment, you will mentor technicians, manage budgets, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations and contractors to sustain safe, efficient operations while

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with significant experience.
• Experience in engineering and maintenance roles within a related industry.
• Knowledge of Hazop / PHA, LOPA, SIL/SIS, DSEAR and change management.
• Capital project management knowledge including design, construction, commissioning and start-up.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the number one priority and drive continuous improvement in health, safety and environment.
• Owns and manages the site electrical infrastructure including 11kV and 415V systems and instrumentation.
• Lead Electrical & Instrument Technicians and coordinate training needs within the team.
• Provide project management for small capital projects and support larger capital projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with DSEAR and ATEX, and maintain site standards and procedures.
• Audit electrical contractor performance and manage site activities with SHE involvement.
