McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Superintendent for Earthwork & Grading to lead field construction on major civil projects. You will Direct self-perform and trade-partner work, manage schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of earthwork and related scopes.

The role requires extensive field leadership, coordination across trades, and a strong safety-first mindset on complex sites with mass grading, subgrade, and underground utilities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial construction, heavy civil, or site-development experience.
• Extensive earthwork and grading leadership experience.
• Self-perform experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Be the Project Safety Leader with focus on safe work environment and culture.
• Lead Safety planning, daily huddles, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate Earthwork, Subgrade, and Underground Utility activities to meet milestones.
• Prepare and maintain three-week schedules for activities and monitor production rates.
• Coordinate with inspectors for testing and inspection of responsible activities.
• Recruit, hire, and develop craft labor workforce and lead front-line teams.
• Review budgets, production, and cost data to drive efficiency and safety.
