Job summary

Freeman Hospital is seeking a full-time Early Years Practitioner to join the Nursery team. The role requires a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and developing plans that stimulate learning and development for children aged 0-5.

You will work under the Lead Practitioner and Nursery Managers to provide a safe, engaging environment, supporting colleagues and supervising students on placement. NVQ Level 3 in childcare is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (in Childcare).
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with children aged 0-5.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervise children aged 0-5 years under the direction of the Lead Early Years Practitioner and Senior Staff/Nursery Managers.
• Implement a structured and stimulating environment through play, as required by OFSTED.
• Supervise and assist students on placement.
• Settle in new children, working closely with parents/carers under supervision.
