Job summary

Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the CEW Early Learning program in Portland, guiding project management, supervision, and partner relations to support refugee families with children ages 0–6. The role emphasizes strong collaboration, compliance, and community engagement.

Responsibilities include program operations, budget monitoring (over $450,000), evaluating outcomes, and ensuring timely reporting with the assistance of the manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred and major coursework in Early Childhood and/or Social Work.
• Minimum 1-year professional leadership and early childhood experience working with multibackground staff in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in Early Childhood programming.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including delegation and collaboration.
• Experience working with immigrant and refugee populations, and communities of color required.
• Supervising staff with humility and supporting staff in stressful environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily program operation functions and provide direct program oversight.
• Review program efficacy and adjust implementation with guidance from the assistant manager.
• Maintain program records in compliance with federal regulations and state consumer identification acts.
• Travel to community events and support partner activities.
• Coordinate activities for families with children ages 0–6 and maintain a safe environment.
• Evaluate program efficacy and adjust implementation with the assistant manager.
• Develop work plans/work-production schedules using IRCO templates.
• Ensure policies, contracts, and grant obligations are met.
