Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; options include ParaPro/ParaPathways exam or 48 credits with math/English.
• An associate degree or higher from an accredited institution may substitute for education/experience.
• Substitutions may replace up to two years of experience with credentials or credits.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates safe, engaging learning environments and guides children during routines and activities.
• Implements and assesses learning experiences aligned with teacher plans and learning goals.
• Observes and documents child development and learning progress for classroom planning.
• Supports health and safety, toileting, handwashing, nutrition, and safe play.
• Prepares materials and learning centers as directed by the teacher; assists in supervision.
