Job summary

Capability Health & Human Services in Las Vegas seeks a Lead Developmental Specialist to develop and implement home-based activities for children under three with disabilities under IDEA Part C. You will train new specialists and coordinate services, traveling to Reno as needed for coverage.

Strong communication, independent work skills, and experience with children with disabilities are essential. CPR/First Aid certification and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum three years as a developmental specialist.
• Minimum one year experience with birth-3 population.
• Endorsement for Early Childhood Developmentally Delayed preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train new Developmental Specialists and provide MDT training.
• Provide coverage during DS absences and manage caseloads.
• Schedule and attend mandated reviews; document in NEIDS.
• Travel between Las Vegas and Reno to cover caseloads.
• Support audits and coordinate services for each child.
