Job summary

Genesis Resources seeks a Senior E&S Casualty Underwriter to lead growth in the West Coast and Southwest. You will build a profitable E&S book through disciplined underwriting, broker partnerships, and a production-driven mindset.

Responsibilities include expanding the book, maintaining relationships with wholesale brokers, underwriting renewals, and pricing complex risks such as premises liability, hospitality, product manufacturing, and excess auto.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial casualty underwriting experience.
• Proven success in new business production and portfolio growth.
• Established relationships with wholesale brokers across the West and/or Southwest.
• Strong knowledge of casualty exposures, including premises, hospitality, manufacturing/product liability, and excess auto.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand a profitable E&S Casualty book of business across the West and Southwest.
• Establish and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers and distribution partners.
• Drive new business production through broker engagement and follow-up.
• Underwrite new and renewal business per appetite, authority, and guidelines.
• Evaluate complex casualty exposures and set terms, pricing, limits, deductibles, and attachment points.
• Collaborate with brokers to structure creative solutions for hard-to-place risks.
• Monitor portfolio performance, exposure, and profitability with disciplined underwriting.
