Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Hopewell, VA is seeking an E&I Maintenance Supervisor to lead about 20 maintenance general mechanics, ensuring safety, training, and work assignment. This role serves as a key safety resource and troubleshooter for E&I equipment on site.

You will coordinate with OMCs and E&I Planners, prioritize preventive and break-in work, and drive reliability improvements while mentoring technicians and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental rules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of E&I supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Familiar with skills / crafts required for jobs/tasks.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and process control programs.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to read P&ID, loop sheets and electrical drawings.
• Experience with a CMMS system (JD Edwards a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead ~20 E&I maintenance general mechanics and assign work.
• Ensure safety, training, and adherence to policies.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks with planners.
• Prioritize work and manage outages with reliability/engineering input.
• Collaborate with operations to address issues and improve equipment.
• Mentor technicians and monitor project implementations.
• Assist in budget development and material ordering.
