Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Designer to support E&I design, PSI documentation, and MOC processes in process industries. You will produce installation details, MCC layouts, control panels, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accurate asset documentation.
The role requires 10+ years in instrumentation/electrical design, proficiency with CAD/engineering tools, and ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement scope changes and startup
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in instrumentation, electrical, drafting, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of instrumentation and electrical design experience in process industries (refining, petrochemical, LNG).
- Demonstrated ability revising and maintaining engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting Management of Change (MOC) processes and PSI/PSM compliance.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, instrument loop drawings, logic diagrams, causes & effects, electrical schematics, and control system documentation.
Responsibilities
- Provide design and drafting support for E&I systems throughout PSI/MOC lifecycle.
- Develop installation details, motor control center single lines, electrical room layouts, control panel layouts and grounding plans.
- Produce accurate documentation reflecting installed asset conditions and changes in engineering systems.
- Communicate scope changes promptly and provide on-site assistance during startup.
