Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Designer in Orange, TX.

The role focuses on technical design and drafting for E&I systems, ensuring PSI documentation is maintained through MOC, and collaborating with operations, maintenance and project teams. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years in instrumentation and electrical design within process industries, with strong CAD and Smart instrumentation tool experience and a solid understanding of P&ID interpretation

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience revising and maintaining engineering drawings and documentation.
Experience supporting Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Familiarity with PSM requirements related to PSI and PSI maintenance.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, logic diagrams and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, and wiring diagrams.
Maintain PSI through MOC and ensure accurate engineering records.
Support on-site startup activities and field verification.
Communicate scope/design changes promptly to project teams.
Ensure drawings reflect installed asset conditions and changes.
