Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior Discovery IT System Administrator to join the Legal team in a fast-paced environment. You will manage electronic discovery applications, oversee Windows servers, SQL databases, and cloud platforms, and collaborate with vendors to implement fixes and improvements.

This executive-level, full-time role requires solid problem-solving skills, security focus, and knowledge of EDRM and e-discovery tools. We offer growth opportunities and a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day availability of electronic discovery applications and related tools.
• Administer and monitor installed systems and infrastructure; install, configure, test, and maintain OS and applications.
• Monitor and test application performance; identify bottlenecks and work with vendors to implement fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Assist technical architecture design discussions.
• Liaise with vendors on behalf of CGS to address product issues.
• Develop and provide training for end-users.
• Provide general support and expertise on e-discovery tools and applications.
• Reverse engineer and document as-is architecture of legacy systems.
• Analyze capabilities, collect business requirements, and translate into technical requirements.
• Support discovery application integration and migration activities.
• Contribute to Knowledge Management by improving technical articles.
• Apply knowledge of EDRM and legal technology.
• Assist in implementing e-discovery tools (e.g., Relativity, Veritas eDP) in cloud environments.
• Support backend infrastructure, data migrations, application installation, management, and configuration.
• Operate and manage Microsoft Server 2019/2022 and Microsoft SQL Server 2019/2022.
• Operate and manage cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware, and related services.
• Operate and manage relational databases such as MySQL and SQL Server 2012 or higher.
