Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to embed with the engineering team, supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for Cat Digital Dealer and Rental Systems.

You will bridge product owners and developers, translating requirements into specifications and ensuring scalable, supported solutions. Responsibilities include backlog refinement, design collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder communications to deliver business value and successful

Qualifications

• Knowledge of finance and operations processes (GL, AP, AR, assets, cash, procurement, inventory, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay).
• Experience in D365 F&O solution design, including configuration, security, workflows, data, integrations, reporting, and environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technically actionable user stories and backlog items.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for backlogs, traceability, defects, testing, and releases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with product owners, stakeholders, developers, architects, testers, and support teams to track design, development, testing, and maintenance issues.
• Provide technical guidance for product integration and infrastructure issues to customers and field staff.
• Assist product owners with business needs, goals, and requirements translated into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with developers during design and build to clarify requirements and discuss edge cases.
• Evaluate D365 F&O configuration options, data entities, workflows, security impacts, and reporting needs.
