You bring 10+ years in business analysis within P&C insurance, strong Duck Creek Policy experience, and expertise in agile environments to drive successful policy lifecycle initiatives.

Senior Duck Creek Policy Business Analyst

Location: Morristown, NJ

Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Client Profile

Our client is a leading organization within the Property and Casualty insurance industry supporting a significant policy administration and technology modernization initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities supporting Duck Creek Policy implementations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, subject matter experts, architects, developers, and QA teams to define business and functional requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and document complex requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Serve as a functional resource for Duck Creek Policy and P&C policy administration processes.
• Analyze policy administration workflows and recommend process and system improvements.
• Support the full policy lifecycle, including new business, issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, and policy changes.
• Participate in solution design discussions and help ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
• Review delivered functionality and Duck Creek configurations against documented business requirements.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect analysis, and resolution.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, walkthroughs, demonstrations, and stakeholder meetings.
• Identify dependencies, risks, gaps, and impacts across business processes and integrated applications.
• Collaborate across business and technology teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

• 10 or more years of Business Analyst experience.
• Significant professional experience within Property and Casualty insurance.
• Strong hands on experience with Duck Creek Policy.
• Experience supporting Duck Creek Policy implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of policy administration processes and the complete insurance policy lifecycle.
• Extensive experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications.
• Experience working with integrations and upstream and downstream system dependencies.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large scale Duck Creek Policy implementations.
• Exposure to Duck Creek configuration and customized versus standard functionality.
• Experience supporting UAT and production implementation activities.
• Experience within large or complex P&C insurance organizations.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading Business Analysts.
• Experience working within distributed delivery environments.
