Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. DSP Systems Engineer to develop next‑gen ASICs for Starlink space and ground infrastructures. You will lead sensor firmware, AI-based architecture, and high‑density RF systems across cross‑functional teams.

You will work on digital beamforming, MIMO, and direct‑to‑device tech, building system simulators and validating performance for on‑orbit missions and terrestrial networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, physics, math, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years in system-level modeling, DSP, or RF/wireless design.

Responsibilities

• Drive program-level decisions on sensor firmware, software, and AI-driven architecture for large-scale RF sensing and satellite broadband systems.
• Research and develop novel solutions with advanced digital beamforming, massive MIMO, and direct-to-device tech for on-orbit and ground-based apps.
• Design, model, and test algorithms for system-level and link-level performance, including simulations of modem, beamforming, and sensor data processing.
• Collaborate with ASIC/FPGA, RF/antenna, and software engineers to design, validate, and bring up silicon-based RF sensing and communication systems.
• Generate spacecraft/consumer equipment specs, requirements, test procedures, and bit-/cycle-accurate vectors; support silicon bring-up and demonstrations.
• Analyze overall system performance and implement test plans under dynamic program needs.
