Upstate Caring Partners, Inc. seeks a Senior Direct Support Professional to oversee a 12-person (or smaller) residence. You will guide daily shift operations, mentor staff, and ensure IPP goals and safety for residents.

Participate in the treatment team and coordinate staff scheduling, while maintaining records and reports. Requirements include at least 1 year of direct support experience, travel, and a valid New York driver’s license; AAS in Human Services preferred, SCIP-R/CPR and AMAP

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one-year experience in a direct support role with individuals with a Developmental Disability.
• Travel is required; must have a valid New York State driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily shift operations for a residence of 12 people or less.
• Mentor new residence counselors and assist on-site orientation and training.
• Ensure IPP goals are implemented and documented.
• Monitor safety and well-being of residents and report issues.
• Advise nurses on medical concerns and dispense medications if certified.
• Participate in treatment team activities, meetings, trainings, and committees.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Assist with daily housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Maintain timely completion of all records and reports as directed.
• Assist in shift operations in the absence of Residence Manager.
• Maintain SCIP-R and CPR certification; AMAP certification.
• Ensure effective communication of daily work info and expectations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and operating standards.
