Job summary

Kindly Direct Care seeks an experienced Direct Support Professional for a high-acuity one-to-one assignment in Ridgefield Park, NJ. This role requires vigilant supervision, adherence to individualized protocols, and dependable communication with the care team.

You will support ADLs, monitor health changes, and respond promptly to urgent situations while maintaining documentation and safety. Driving is required; a reliable vehicle is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role preferred.
• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols.
• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment.
• Reliable Vehicle.
• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring.
• Support ADLs and daily routines as required.
• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training.
• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence.
• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly.
• Recognize and report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety.
• Respond to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team.
