Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a higher-acuity one-to-one assignment in Hainesport, NJ. The DSP must show strong judgment, reliability and experience with direct-care tasks.

Responsibilities include close supervision, mobility/ADL support, following protocols, and reporting health or safety changes. Training and competency requirements must be completed before working independently.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct-care roles (DSP/CNA/HHA) preferred.
• Strong reliability, judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed protocols and guidelines.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the assignment.
• Driving on shift is not required.
• Ability to complete required training and competency requirements.

About This Opportunity

This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. Staff must be capable of lifting, as well as assisting the individual with their shower chair and wheelchair. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case.

Responsibilities May Include

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring.
• Provide mobility and ADL support as required.
• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training.
• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence.
• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety.
• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role preferred.
• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols.
• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment.
• Driving on shift is not required.
• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently.

Schedule: Any 1 or 2 days between Monday and Thursday from 8:30am- 4:30pmPay: $18-$24/hourLocation: Hainesport, NJDriving on shift: Required
