Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant DSP engineering experience with demonstrated delivery of RF communications signal processing solutions.
• Experience implementing DSP on embedded/real-time systems and/or hardware-accelerated platforms, including Xilinx UltraScale+, RFSoC, and Versal.
• Strong fundamentals in communications and statistical signal processing (detection/estimation, synchronization, spectral analysis, filtering, modulation/demodulation concepts).
• U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms for RF signals, including waveform processing.
• Lead algorithm development from concept to prototype to implementation.
• Implement DSP solutions on Xilinx RFSoC, UltraScale+, Versal with hardware acceleration.
• Collaborate with FPGA engineers to translate algorithms into hardware-friendly designs.
• Work with embedded software to integrate real-time DSP pipelines.
• Develop test/verification strategies using lab instruments and RF datasets.
• Develop MATLAB/Simulink and Python environments and compare with hardware.
• Provide technical leadership and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Produce documentation: DSP design descriptions, specifications, and reports.
• Support integration, debug, and field testing across DSP/RF/FPGA/embedded systems.
