Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a drywall installer to join our Austin team. This role focuses on installing drywall systems to meet project quality and design standards while coordinating with supervisors and teammates.

The candidate will apply technical knowledge to ensure accurate fitting, secure attachment, and consistent finishing of gypsum panels, while maintaining safety and productivity across site phases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of drywall installation/finishing experience preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 10 within 6 months of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Installs metal stud framing and drywall panels with accurate measurement, cutting, and secure attachment to framing.
• Inspects completed work for smoothness, alignment, and adherence to project specifications, addressing deficiencies as needed.
• Coordinates with other trades and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Maintains accurate records of materials used and progress for reporting and inventory purposes.
• Identifies and communicates installation or finishing challenges to leadership for resolution.
• Keeps work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout drywall installation and finishing.

Education
