Job Summary:

Installs drywall systems to create smooth, durable surfaces that support project quality and design standards. Applies working technical knowledge to perform framing and ensure accurate fitting, secure attachment, and consistent finishing of gypsum panels. Collaborates with team members and supervisors to coordinate installation activities and resolve routine challenges. Contributes to project efficiency by maintaining productivity, safety, and attention to detail throughout all phases of drywall work. Enhances team outcomes by supporting a positive, solutions-oriented work environment and adapting to evolving site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installs metal stud framing and drywall panels, ensuring accurate measurement, cutting, and secure attachment to framing.
  • Inspects completed work for smoothness, alignment, and adherence to project specifications, addressing deficiencies as needed.
  • Coordinates with other trades and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Maintains accurate records of materials used and progress for reporting and inventory purposes.
  • Identifies and communicates installation or finishing challenges to leadership for resolution.
  • Ensures work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe throughout all phases of drywall installation and finishing.
Education Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:

Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in drywall or 2 - 4 years of experience in drywall installation, finishing, or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses:

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 10 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
