NuAxis Innovations in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Drupal Developer to lead re-platforming of legacy .NET applications onto a Drupal 10 foundation. You will build custom modules, complex webforms, and reusable components while meeting federal security and accessibility standards.

This full-time role requires PHP, Drupal APIs, Docker/Kubernetes expertise, and a proven record delivering scalable, secure government web solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and build Drupal 10 sites: content types, fields, views, custom entities, custom modules, and theming.
Implement complex multi-step forms, conditional logic, file uploads, and submission handling using the Webform module and custom form APIs.
Favor marketplace/contributed modules over custom code; evaluate, harden, and configure out-of-the-box capability before building.
Develop custom connectors and integration modules to enterprise systems.
Build reusable component libraries and configuration-driven patterns for future initiatives.
Implement caching, performance tuning, and scalability on Kubernetes-based Drupal deployments.
Maintain configuration management, deployment configuration, and update/patch discipline including security advisories.
Ensure all delivered themes and components meet Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA.
Work with Login.gov, Appian/WISE/CAPS/PWRS, Kafka, and DOL identity management integrations.
